Why Vote For Joal? As your County Commissioner, I will advocate for the progressive values that you and I hold dear. On the county level, I will continue to advocate for many of the things I fought for as a Carrboro Aldermen: Parks and green space Environmental protection Balanced economic development to increase our tax base and relieve the burden on residential tax payers As your County Commissioner, my goal will be to advocate for policies and programs that benefit Orange County for the long term, not just the short term. I will emphasize: A balanced approach to economic development Adequate funding for libraries in both Chapel Hill and Carrboro Environmental protection Making sure that our community is affordable for all citizens As your County Commissioner, I will be: Accessible Fair and balanced A good listener A problem solver who brings the community together around common goals
